Training:

Sato received his early education in Japan. In 2004, he graduated with a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. After graduation he worked for four years in the United States as a practicing architect at Skidmore, Owing & Merrill and Rafael Vinoly Architects. In 2010, he graduated with a Master of Design Arts from the Australian National University.
